Who we are​

Rodha Foundation:

We started extending help to needy children and youth who were eager to study and work for a better life. This moment intensified when we found that there were many such underprivileged children who needed help with food, shelter and education. Our team expanded and we spread out in different regions to make sure we cover all possible areas and help as many children as possible.

We now run shelter hohas formed allegiances with reputable local charities in the South East Asian region and is planning to use their infrastructure and local expertise to access remote rural areas and villages to achieve its goals. The work will soon commence on the following projects:

Our Projects

Prevention & relief of poverty

Almost 73% of the people living in rural areas of the region are below the poverty line with per-capita income of less than £50 a month. We will be providing one manual sewing machine to women of each household, thus enabling her to work with local clothing businesses and community. This will generate income for the family and helping them in becoming self sufficient.

 Advancement of education

We will be running a ‘book drive’ for collecting old books and uniforms in the UK. These will then be distributed in the region to encourage children of destitute families to opt for education rather than child labour. We will also set up libraries in rural areas and organise awareness sessions and workshops explaining the benefits of seeking education and its positive effects in the society.

Our Vision​
Advancement of Health & Mortality rate

We will buy good quality medicines from the UK wholesalers and export them to local NGOs in the region. We will also help in setting up free dispensary units in the targeted poor areas. Qualified health professionals will also be hired from urban cities to provide mobile dispensary and basic medical check-up services. Free medicines will be provided to poor families too.

The long term goals of Rodha Foundation will be to provide better educational, health and community care facilities to under privileged rural families living in the poorest of slums of the region, thus providing a platform self sufficiency and prosperity. This will enable them to play a more positive role in the society.
